I read this book over one weekend as I felt I had to keep reading to find out what happened. I was in tears for much of the time, but was so glad that I had read the book. Kevin has done something that many of us think about doing, but few of us actually do. He has taken action, risked his life and made a difference. Now we can make a difference too in a smaller way by buying this book and supporting the Banana Appeal.
Kevin's experiances in Africa cause him to question his beliefs, or rather lack of them. He comes into contact with Catholic Nuns whose beliefs are very different from his own, he struggles to understand how a god could allow such terrible things to happen and yet he also experiances strange coincidences and a miraculous escape.
