NON VIOLENT COMMUNCIATION

What is Non Violent Communication?

NON-VIOLENT COMMUNICATION is a Language for Life. We all have difficult situations in our lives, whether it be with a partner, our child/children, a work colleague or a friend or neighbour. The way most people have learned to communicate is not often effective in resolving the conflict and getting our needs met. Non-violent communication could be called 'Compassionate Communication'.

It is a tool you can use which will help to have a profound effect on your relationships in all areas of your life. Brought to the UK by Marshall Rosenberg, NVC replaces our old patterns of defending, withdrawing or attacking in the face of judgment and criticism. We come to perceive ourselves and others in a new light. Marshall travels worldwide, applying NVC to such places as prisons in the Middle East and warring tribes in Africa. The application of NVC speaks for itself - it has truly turned difficult/threatening situations completely around. If only everyone on the planet could learn it!

What is a Non Violent Communication session like?

During an initial session, you will learn how it can be applied and how it could be helpful for you personally. You will gain an understanding of the principle and application in order for you to consider taking it deeper.

What are the benefits of Non Violent Communication?

Nonviolent Communication skills will assist you in dealing with major blocks to communication such as demands, diagnoses and blaming. In CNVC trainings you will learn to express your feelings without attacking. This will help minimize the likelihood of facing defensive reactions in others. The skills will help you make clear requests. They will help you receive critical and hostile messages without taking them personally, giving in, or losing self-esteem. These skills will be useful with your family, friends, students, subordinates, supervisors, co-workers and clients. These skills will be useful with your own internal dialogues.
